Under the Apple menu, select "System Preferences."

In the System Preferences panel, click on "International."

Select the "Input Menu" tab, then check the "Character Palette" box.

Scroll down, and check the Arabic fonts you want.

Scroll back up to the top and check the "Keyboard Viewer" box.

At the top of the screen, a US flag should now appear in the Menu bar. Click on the flag and select an Arabic font.

Select "Show Keyboard Viewer."

The "Keyboard Viewer" will help you use your current keyboard to type out Arabic letters.

Click again on the Arabic icon in the Menu bar at the top of the screen to switch between fonts.

To write Arabic on your computer, first follow the instructions to add the font, and then add a display for an Arabic-letter keyboard. This will be your guide to matching your English-letter keyboard to the Arabic alphabet.
